Chancellor Mone’s Statement on the Retirement of Children’s Wisconsin President Peggy Troy

As Children’s Hospital President Peggy Troy announces her retirement, I am reminded of the extraordinary journey and impact of her career, which she began as a nurse intern in 1975 and worked her way up to become the first woman to lead Children’s in 2009. I am grateful for her friendship and partnership.

Peggy’s leadership has been nothing short of legendary, setting a high bar for excellence both locally and nationally. Her commitment to providing the very best care, along with her collaborative spirit, have been instrumental in shaping thousands of brighter futures.

Peggy’s vision and dedication have touched the lives of countless children and families, including my own, leaving an indelible mark on our state.

As Peggy prepares for this well-deserved retirement, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for a strong final year at Children’s Wisconsin. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us for many years to come.
