In the wake of the Holocaust and Soviet oppression, many of Poland’s remaining Jews hid their identity from their children. When Communism fell in 1989, the door to the past began to crack open, revealing a buried ancestry. The Return focuses on four young women facing the unique challenge of forging an identity in a vacuum, with little knowledge of their heritage.
