Courtney Baker (UC-Riverside) will be visiting C21 in February during Milwaukee Film/Black Lens’ Black History Month series. The Black Lens program will feature screenings and discussions with local and national black filmmakers throughout February, starting with a showcase of short films by black women directors on February 6.
We are welcoming Baker to campus for her talk on “Framing Black Performance: Selma and the Poetics of Representation” on Friday, February 28 in Curtin Hall 175, with special events closing out the Black History Month film series on Thursday the 27th and Saturday the 29th.
