Areas of Expertise

Dr. Ambrose’s research has been in the broad area of buyers and their use of technology. More recently, she has focused on the rapidly evolving field of corporate social responsibility. Recent publications have dealt with social businesses and their innovative business models,  and the use of rich qualitative methods to gain insights into buyers’ adoption of technologies. She teaches Principles of Marketing, International Marketing, and Buyer Behavior and has a long track-record of winning Lubar Gold Star awards for teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Professional Activities

Dr. Ambrose is co-founder of Ekantha.com, a social business, devoted to bettering the lives of the marginalized and underprivileged, especially women, by equipping them with useful skills to make handicraft products, and developing a marketing infrastructure for these products, helping them to help themselves and their communities.
