Dr. Ambrose’s research focuses primarily on consumers and their use of technology. Recent publications have focused on serious games and gamification, consumer adoption of wearable technologies, and the use of rich qualitative methods to gain insights into consumers’ adoption of technologies. She teaches Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, and Consumer and Buyer Behavior. She has a long track-record of winning Lubar Gold Star awards for teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Recent forays into online teaching have provided new and rewarding challenges.
Dr. Ambrose is co-founder and chief marketing officer of Ekantha.com, a social entrepreneurship startup, devoted to bettering the lives of the marginalized and underprivileged, especially women, by equipping and empowering them with useful skills to make handicraft products, marketing these products, and thereby helping to elevate them and their communities.
