The UWM Lubar College of Business Executive MBA program is designed for experienced professionals who are ready to expand their leadership capabilities, strengthen their strategic perspective, and prepare for what’s next in their careers.

The Lubar College of Business reviews candidates holistically, considering their overall background, experiences, readiness, and potential contributions to the program. Applicants are reviewed by the EMBA Admissions Committee of the Lubar College of Business.

The admission recommendations are based upon a combination of the following:

• Professional experience: A substantial track record of professional growth, leadership, and management experience. Several years of professional experience, including some years in a management or leadership capacity, may be a useful benchmark, though other experiences and organizational nominations may also be worth considering.

• Academic readiness: The ability and motivation to succeed in a rigorous, intensive graduate-level learning environment.

• Leadership perspective: Experiences, insights, and skills that would contribute to a collaborative cohort of professionals from diverse industries and background.

• Commitment to growth: A willingness to dedicate the time, energy, and support needed to participate in an intensive, 16-month program.

• Personal goals: A clear sense of how the Executive MBA might support future professional development, leadership aspirations, and career plans.

During the graduate school application process, prospective students submit transcripts, a resume, and a statement of purpose (typically 1–2 pages) describing their interest in pursuing an Executive MBA at the Lubar College of Business and how they envision applying the experience to their future goals.
