The Academic Staff Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Outstanding Performance & Service and the 2018 Outstanding Teaching awards. All nomination materials must be submitted as one electronic file by April 6.

The Outstanding Teaching Award recognizes initiative, innovation and dedication to teaching and instruction. Nominees must demonstrate continued excellence in motivating learning, classroom effectiveness, innovation in content delivery and curricular development. The committee will select one award of $1,500.

The Outstanding Performance & Service Award recognizes staff members who contribute to the university through committee work or special assignments, community service and service in professional organizations, and who exhibit initiative, innovation and dedication to the job. The committee will select up to four awards of $1,500.

Nominations may be submitted by any university employee or currently enrolled student. The nominator must complete the nomination form and write a letter. Her or she must also secure two additional letters of recommendation and submit a copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae.
