Dance marathon raises over $9,000 for Children’s Hospital

Students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee raised more than $9,000 for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin on Saturday.

Students raise money at Panther Miracle Network Dance Marathon

The second annual Panther Miracle Network Dance Marathon welcomed close to 200 participants to dance for 10 hours. So far, they have raised $9,188, and participants will continue raise funds through December.

“I couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work we put into this,” said Karina Laufenberg, a member of the UWM Dance Marathon committee. “And to see it pay off with such a large donation to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is great.”

Miracle Network Dance Marathon unites college, university and high school students across North America to raise money for their local children’s hospital. The money raised by UWM students on Saturday adds to the more than $150 million donated across North America since the beginning of Dance Marathon.
