Research Interests: I am interested in studying the evaporitic lacustrine environments and subsurface aqueous environments on ancient Mars and search for materials with high biosignature preservation potential. I am trying to understand the different alteration patterns of those environments with analog environments on the Earth using X-ray Diffraction, X-ray absorption Spectrometry and Imaging and non-imaging spectroscopy.
