Research Interests: I am interested in the alteration of basalt in hydrothermal zones and the possible analog these alterations have to similar deposits on Mars. I am also interested in the formation and evolution of volcanoes, particularly cinder cones and other related volcanic processes. I am currently researching hydrothermal vents in the Myvatn area and Reykjannes peninsula of Iceland.
