“Is Wonder Woman Jewish? The Power of Superheroines on Screen & Public Stage”
Join us for the Faye Sigman Woman of Valor Lecture with speaker Dr. Lilly J. Goren.

The recent portrayal of the superheroine by Israeli actress Gal Gadot raised the question, but even before this season’s film, Jewish “wonder women” have negotiated power, gender, valor, and a desire for tikkun olam, repair of the world. In her talk, Dr. Goren will explore the concept of a woman of valor in politics and popular culture, looking particularly at what we see and what we understand as consumers and as citizens.
