The Women’s & Gender Studies major requires 36 credits drawn from WGS core and cross-listed courses. Of these 36 credits students must:
- Complete six humanities credits and six social science credits in coursework approved for Women’s & Gender Studies credit.
- Complete at least 15 upper-division credits (numbered 300 or above) in residence at UWM.
- Complete an additional 15 credits from courses that have been approved for Women’s & Gender Studies credit for a total of 36 credits.
- Maintain a GPA in the major of at least 2.5 and consult regularly with their advisor in Women’s & Gender Studies about their course of study.
