Spring 2026 Essential Parking & Transit Information

You can now request a Spring 2026 benefit code. You must redeem a benefit code each semester you are enrolled to keep using your bus pass.


All student parking permits are sold out. Students can register for the UPARK Park & Ride at Capitol Humboldt; students who pay segregated fees as part of tuition can register for free.


Employees who need a parking permit can purchase one for the Pavilion/Klotsche Garage, NWQ Garage, or Lots 7 and 20 SARUP/Cunningham.

If a motor vehicle of any type will be used in the conduct of a job or business at UWM, a vehicle left unattended for any length of time is considered parked. This applies even to vehicles that are unattended with their hazard lights on.

Contractors and Vendors

Repair workers, contractors, service representatives and members of the University community who need to load or unload materials must follow these rules when parking in a loading zone:

  1. Dock areas are reserved for delivery vehicles with truck plates while loading or unloading.
  2. Short-term errand parking (picking up mail or delivering something to an office) is provided at the 30—minute meters or in public parking lots only. Use zone 59000 in Parkmobile, Passport Parking, or PayByPhone to allow up to 30 minutes of parking in a loading zone.
  3. Personal vehicles are not allowed in loading docks.
  4. Parking in service areas requires authorization from the Transportation Services office.
  5. Parking in a location not designated for parking is prohibited.
  6. Repair workers, contractors, service representatives and, members of the University community can purchase a K-permit at Transportation Services Portal

Note: Parking at the job site is not an acceptable excuse to park illegally.

Faculty and Staff

Employees looking to use loading docks for loading or unloading anything must get prior approval from Transportation Services. You must email uwmpark@uwm.edu with your license plate and location. Employees must pay for parking through Parkmobile for 30 minutes of parking. Employees will not be allowed to park longer than 30 minutes at any loading dock. Use zone 59000 to pay for parking in Parkmobile, Passport Parking, or PayByPhone platforms.

Students

Students may not use the loading docks.
