Command Center Attendant
- Pay Rate: $12/hour
- Driver’s License: Preferred but not required.

Job Description
The primary goal of a Command Center attendant is to provide customer service and assist people who utilize UWM parking facilities. This position operates primarily from within the office of Transportation Services between the hours of 9:00a-9:00p and requires occasional field work around the UWM campus. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.
Qualifications & Expectations

We require applicants to work 2 evening shifts- the start time between 3p-4p and the end at 930p.
Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Answering parker calls, offer excellent customer service and resolve issues quickly
- Answering inquiries from customers across campus related to parking, payments, and purchasing parking permits
- Record-keeping in databases and updating customer parking accounts
- Field work including parking garage maintenance, event support, and other tasks as assigned
- Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information
- Providing general customer service, which could include assisting at the front office window, and emails, transporting students to and from Zilber as needed
- Other tasks assigned by Transportation Services Staff
Front Office Assistant
- Pay Rate: $12/hour
- Driver’s License: Preferred but not required.

Job Description
The primary goal of the Front Office Assistant is to provide efficient and excellent customer service by processing sales, answering questions, and assisting customers with the services offered by the department. This position operates from within the office of Transportation Services and may require occasional fieldwork. A valid driver’s license is preferred, but it is not required. Hours are flexible from 8:00a-9:00p.

Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Assist with daily tasks, which could include
- printing docs,
- answers inquiries through multiple channels,
- assisting with our call center,
- and offering general support to the department
- Prepare and process payments of cash, checks, credit/debit, payroll deduction
- Uphold UWM policy and FERPA in relation to sensitive information.
- Assist campus community with student services like UPASS, PROWL Line and BOSS inquiries
- Offer excellent customer service to all guests
- Keep accurate records in databases and updating customer parking accounts

- Light office cleaning, including sanitizing workstations, monitoring office cleanliness like taking out garbage, vacuuming, and assisting with department laundry
Student Custodian

Job Description
The primary goal of Student Custodian is to assist in cleaning duties, trash/debris removal from parking garages, stairwells, and lots. The secondary goal is to assist with other operational needs like supporting the call center and assisting with parking events on campus. The schedule is flexible, as our operations run 24/7. We are looking for primary coverage 7 days a week, from 6:00a-11:00p.
Qualifications & Expectations

One -Two evening shifts are required from the start time of 4:00p-5:00p to 9:00p-10:00p. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Complete daily cleaning tasks for designated facilities as assigned
- Tasks could include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining garbage in all parking facilities, sweeping up leaves and other debris in parking facilities, adhering to all safety standards the department and University have set in place
- Maintaining fleet vehicles that maintenance team uses – taking care of university property
- Assisting with parking events on campus – with ingress and egress. Directing customers where park
Parking Enforcement Officer

Job Description
The Student Enforcement Officer is responsible for identifying parking violations and issuing citations to vehicles not in compliance with University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Expectations

Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Operate our License Plate Reader (LPR) system to enforce parking violations across UWM properties.
- Investigates parking eligibility and compliance with policy.
- Accurately records vehicle description, location, and parking violation issue for parking citations.
- Assist with signage updates such as special visitor requests, welcome center spaces, and other reserved spaces.
- Assists with maintenance and waste removal from surface lots and garages.
- Assist with large event traffic control.
- Provides directions and education about parking with customers.
- Assists with troubleshooting pay station machine issues and gate issues.
- Additional duties as requested by Transportation Services Staff
- Must have a valid driver’s license for at least two years (if a Wisconsin license is held, it must be a Regular license, not Probationary).
- Must have no more than two moving violations in a three-year period.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors.
BOSS Driver
Pay Rate: $12/hour

Shift: Work done from 6 pm to 2 am. All applicants must have the ability to work at least two weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) and two late shifts (9:45a-2:00a).

Job Descriptions
Be On the Safe Side (B.O.S.S.) is UWM’s late-night, safe-ride service for students. B.O.S.S. is open daily from 6 pm – 2 am during the regular semester. A driver’s job is to safely transport students around the campus and surrounding areas. Drivers must always be focused on safety, including obeying the rules-of-the-road, adhering to UWM and departmental policies, and identifying situations that could escalate. Knowledge of the area is encouraged but not necessary. Base pay is $12.00 per hour, but there are incentives to earn additional pay:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10pm-2am – $2.25
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6pm – 10pm – $1.25

- Responding to ride requests and tracking riders using the TransLoc app.
- Provide excellent customer service, and a safe place for your riders to be picked up and dropped off.
- Provide a safe driving experience for your riders and take them to their destinations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Complete assigned tasks by Transportation Services staff as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be available to work between 10:00 PM and 2:30 AM at least twice per week.
- Must be scheduled to work two shifts per week, including once each weekend.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for at least two years (if a Wisconsin license is held, it must be a Regular license, not Probationary).
