On May 26, 2020 there will be an update made to existing pantherLISTs to ensure messages continue to be successfully delivered to the mailboxes of recipients outside of UWM.
pantherLIST is UWM’s group email list service that allows users to create and subscribe to email lists and manage their membership and settings. There should be no significant change to the messages you receive if you are part of a pantherLIST.
However, if you have inbox rules associated with a pantherLIST, they may break following this change. An inbox rule in Outlook automatically performs an assigned action to an email message, such as moving an incoming message to a specific folder.
For example, if you are part of a pantherLIST for your department and have those emails set to go to a certain folder (such as a folder labeled Work, Updates, 2020, etc.) that rule may need to be recreated. Please review our instructions regarding inbox rules if you need to recreate any rules following this change.
