On March 20, 2020, the current 180-day period of UWM password expiration will be extended to 365 days for all UWM faculty, staff, and students (all ePantherIDs).

This change has been made to help reduce the likelihood of inadvertent faculty, staff, and student lock-outs during UWM’s period of remote operations. All current and expired passwords will have their expiration window extended, thus reactivating any expired accounts.

In addition to extending the password expiration period, the minimum required password length will be adjusted to 14 characters in compliance with UW-System’s Information Security Policy 1030.
