On Monday, November 15, 2021, Microsoft MFA will be in place. When you log into UWM services (Microsoft 365, HRS, PAWS, Canvas, etc.) you will be immediately prompted to enter information to enroll in Microsoft MFA and our new digital identity experience.
From the evening of November 12 through November 14, UITS staff members will be making necessary Microsoft system changes before Microsoft MFA goes live. If you use any online UWM service during that timeframe you may be prompted to set up your account with Microsoft MFA.

- Review the list of all authentication methods available to determine which will be the best choice for you.
- Please use the enrollment instructions for your chosen method. This includes instructions for the Microsoft Authenticator App, setting up a phone call, and setting up text messages.
- The MFA webpage will have all instructional materials, updates on hardware tokens (FOBs), and common FAQs: uwm.edu/multifactor
