On May 4th 2021 Dell released a patch to address a critical security vulnerability in certain Dell systems. UWM has determined that a significant number of its Dell computers may be affected by the vulnerability and should receive the patch as soon as reasonably possible.
IT staff are deploying the patch to the affected Dell computers. The patch will install during the normal update window for any affected Dell system. A small number of systems may need to be restarted to finish applying the patch. If a restart is required, the user will be prompted with a pop-up (example below). If no user is logged in and active on the PC when a restart is required, the computer will restart automatically.
