Public Health PhD Admission

Our next PhD cohort will begin in Fall 2027 with the application opening on August 15, 2026. The deadline to apply for the Fall 2027 cohort is December 1, 2026. Our public health PhD programs include:

• PhD in Environmental Sciences
• PhD in Epidemiology
• PhD in Public Health: Community & Behavioral Health Promotion

We will only review applications submitted via SOPHAS.org – the centralized application service for public health.

International Students

• English language proficiency requirement 
• International admissions

Requirements

The GRE is not required.

1. Current resume or CV
2. Personal statement
3. Three letters of recommendation from people familiar with your academic experience and potential for graduate work in public health.
4. Official transcripts from all college-level institutions attended sent directly to SOPHAS. Information on how to send your transcripts to SOPHAS.
5. Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75
