UWM Safety Alert: Armed robbery at 9:55 pm on 05/10/2024 at 2323 N. Cambridge Ave. (8:55 pm was sent out in a RAVE alert, the incident took place at 9:55 pm)
Suspect 1: Male/Black, 18 years old, average build, black shoulder-length dreadlocks, black hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, armed with a semi-automatic handgun. No UWM affiliation.
An armed robbery was reported near 2323 N. Cambridge Ave. The armed robbery occurred at approximately 9:55 pm, on Friday, May 10th, 2024. The known suspect approached the victim and forcibly took the victim’s glasses. The victim attempted to get their property back and the known suspect pointed a semi-automatic firearm at them. There were no injuries reported by the victim, and they are not affiliated with UWM. The known suspect was last seen leaving the area in a grey Infiniti sedan. The suspect and victim are known to each other, and the suspect has been identified. There is no ongoing threat to the campus community.
