Heather Maus

Heather Maus has been serving the UW-Milwaukee Police Department for over 13 years. She has held the rank of Police Officer, Sergeant and Lieutenant. As an Officer, she worked in patrol, as a Police Training Officer, and as an investigator for the department. In 2016 she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. She was a patrol supervisor and supervised the Sensitive Crimes Team, Field Training Program and Safe Walkers. She currently is the department's day shift Operations Lieutenant. She is a certified LESB instructor for the department in Professional Communications.

Heather holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She has attended numerous professional development and leadership trainings including Leadership in Police Organization, Executive Leadership, and Women in Leadership. Heather is also one of the department's Peer Officer Support Team members.
