Diedrik Hellenbrand

Diedrik Hellenbrand has been serving the UW-Milwaukee Police Department for over 7 years. He has held the rank of Police Officer, Sergeant, and Interim Lieutenant. As an Officer, he worked in patrol, as a Police Training Officer. In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He was a patrol supervisor and supervised the Law Enforcement Dispatch Center and the Field Training Program. He currently is the department's night shift Operations Lieutenant. He is a certified LESB instructor for the department in firearms and tactical response.

Diedrik holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from UW Platteville. He has attended numerous professional development and leadership trainings including the WI Department of Justice – First Line Supervisor Training. Diedrik is also one of the department's Peer Officer Support Team members and a police liaison to the UWM LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
