Academic staff are invited to take a lunchtime work break on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from noon-1 p.m., for “Feeling Green: Touring UWM’s Gardens and Enhancing Your Own.” The tour will begin from the fourth floor of Golda Meir Library.
Weather permitting, UWM’s John Gardner will lead a walking tour of UWM’s gardens and green spaces and discuss sustainability efforts across campus. Participants can kick off their home gardens with some flower or herb seeds. A virtual option is available.
Register for the workshop at this webpage. Registration is first open to academic staff and then available spots will be open to university staff and faculty. The capacity for each event is set at 100.
The February workshop is part of a series of lunchtime work break sessions, sponsored by the UWM Non-Instructional Academic Staff (NIAS) Subcommittee.
