Voting is open for UWM commercial shortlisted for Telly Award

A commercial promoting the bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and criminology at UWM has been shortlisted for the Telly Awards and is now open to public voting. Marketing professionals in the College of Community of Engagement & Professions collaborated with local video production Source Ten to produce the piece, which aired in English and Spanish across Wisconsin.

The commercial showcases criminal justice careers including law enforcement, crime analysis and victim advocacy, and featured UWM talent from the Peck School of the Arts and Helen Bader School of Social Welfare alumni. It was filmed over two days on the UWM campus and at the private home of a retired UWM faculty member. Criminal justice faculty and staff provided subject matter expertise.

The Telly Awards is an international award program recognizing video and television excellence across all screens. The UWM commercial is shortlisted in the 46th Annual People’s Telly Regional TV category.
