UWM hosts 3,500 students in chemistry or biochemistry classes each year. They are preparing for careers as research scientists, industrial chemists, nurses, pharmacologists, forensic scientists, chemical engineers and more. They’re preparing to work in the fields of medicine, genetic engineering, toxicology, chemical education, nanoscience and more.
The new Chemistry Building was designed to support instruction and research while fostering a cross-disciplinary and collaborative environment. The building embraces a science-on-display environment that reinforces the idea that science is not only for scientists – it’s for everyone.
