Kennia Coronado is a first-generation college student who credits the UWM Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) with empowering her to understand her history and reclaim her culture. CLACS is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a federally funded National Resource Center with a public event from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts.
