
Chancellor Mark Mone referred during his recent plenary address to a letter from the director of the Racine Health Department Laboratory praising the work of UWM students and recent graduates who are conducting water quality monitoring and environmental restoration from St. Francis to Kenosha.
Julie Kinzelman described the UWM students’ contribution as, “A great example of the interdisciplinary nature of our work to protect public health while preserving the water resources on which we rely. UWM students can and are making a difference.”
Kinzelman is a 2002 graduate of UWM’s College of Health Sciences.
Students doing the work come from College of Health Sciences, College of Letters & Science, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, and School of Freshwater Sciences.
