A television commercial made by students in the Peck School of the Arts is a finalist at the prestigious Art & Technique of the American Commercial show June 9 in New York.
In the form of a public service announcement, “Campus Safe Ride Stalker” was chosen from United States and international entries. If it is named one of the Top 3 in its Student Commercial category in New York, the commercial will become part of the archives of the Film Department at The Museum of Modern Art.
The commercial also was chosen as one of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers’ Top 10 student commercials in the world.
The UWM students – from the Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres – were Pierce Ellner, director; Joe Bowes, producer; and Daniel Larson, post-production.

Some 400 advertising and production professionals, assembled by a curatorial panel of prominent industry leaders, will judge the New York finals.
