The Stahl Center Distinguished Lecture Series on Oct. 22 will feature guest speaker Doris Bergen, who will give a presentation on her book “We have been lied to”: How Antisemitism, Anti-Black, and Misogyny are Linked,” from 7-9 p.m. in the fourth-floor conference center of Golda Meir Library. Bergen, who is the Chancellor Rose and Ray Wolfe Professor of Holocaust Studies at the University of Toronto, will also host a workshop on Oct. 23 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center. The workshop, “Can We Still Talk? The Widening Rift Between Holocaust Studies and Genocide Studies,” will explore the conceptual, theoretical and ethical opportunities and limits of putting memories and histories of violent pasts in conversation.
