New procurement system to launch in April

A new system for procurement will launch at UWM in April. The new system, ShopUW+, will have a heavy focus on improving end-user experience and streamlining processes. It’s part of a systemwide initiative that will transform the existing Shop@UW platform and most paper-based purchasing and accounts payable processes at UWM.

Currently, Shop@UW is a shopping-only application. The new system will be a complete procure-to-pay platform. Having a single platform to place and track orders will allow employees to easily make purchases and stay informed on the status of their order throughout the entire buy-to-pay lifecycle. ShopUW+ will be your single point of entry for catalog shopping, purchase orders, contracts and invoices.

ShopUW+ is currently being previewed and tested to ensure proper configuration. The project team is creating training and resources for all users of the new system. UWM employees who regularly engage with Purchasing and Accounts Payable through UWM’s current processes, as well as current Shop@UW account holders, will receive more detailed communication and project updates prior to the launch of the new system.
