The UWM School of Continuing Education encourages instructors to share with their students an upcoming event that focuses on Black entrepreneurship and leadership on Feb. 19 at the school’s downtown conference center.
“Black Businesses Through the Years: A Roadmap for Success” offers students, faculty, staff and community members a chance to connect with business leaders and gain insights into Milwaukee’s Black entrepreneurs and how they built a thriving business. Attendees will leave with new ideas and a free business growth toolkit.
The session is Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 4-6 p.m., at the School of Continuing Education Conference Center, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave. The event also offers a virtual option.
The session is presented with support from the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership.
