From Feb. 24 to March 14, students, faculty and staff are invited to engage in an interactive exhibit, experience a re-entry simulation and attend a film screening, all part of the From Incarceration to Empowerment: Simulation and Dialogue Series.
Wisconsin has a unique set of laws and administrative codes that govern the state Department of Corrections. Do these policies and procedures contribute to public safety? How do these laws play out in the lives of the incarcerated people?

States of Incarceration is an interactive traveling exhibit that explores the roots of mass incarceration in communities, opening dialogue on what should happen next.
Stigmatized: A Criminal Legal System Simulation
Tuesday, March 4, 3-5 p.m. / 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Lubar Entrepreneurship Center
Experience what it feels like to re-enter society post incarceration. Participants will navigate re-entry through a series of activities and engage in facilitated debrief dialogue.
“The Strike” Screening and Panel
Thursday, March 6, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Attend the film screening and participate in dialogue panel discussion featuring one of film’s protagonists and local advocates.
