Sept. 19 is last day to add, drop classes

Monday, Sept. 19, is the last day to add full-term classes, receive a 100% refund if dropping a full-term class and the Financial Aid Census Date.

UWM uses information from the census date to determine Pell Grant and financial aid eligibility and credits. To be eligible for financial aid, students must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. Students must successfully complete a certain percentage of all attempted credits (cumulative 66.67% for undergrads and 50% for grads). Your enrollment on the census date will be the number of credits you are attempting for the semester. If you haven’t already adjusted your classes for this semester, it’s best to make all adjustments on or before Sept. 19. Monday is also the last day to add full-term classes.

For Pell Grant recipients, Pell Grant amounts are based on half-time, three-quarter-time or full-time enrollment. If your enrollment on the census date is different than it was when the grant was disbursed, the amount of your Pell Grant may need to be adjusted up or down.
