Registration open for April 24 NMDSI symposium on AI

Join the NMDSI on Wednesday, April 24, for the upcoming annual AI symposium, “Bridging Innovation & Impact,” hosted on UWM’s campus at the Student Union and virtually.

The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute is a collaboration between Northwestern Mutual, UWM and Marquette University.

The event will feature a range of topics that center on the ever-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence. Hear from data science experts including the following UWM leaders and faculty members:

  • Mark Mone, chancellor
  • Nathaniel Stern, professor of Art, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship
  • Suzanne Boyd, associate professor, Mathematical Sciences
  • Tanya Joosten, senior scientist and director, Digital Learning Research and Development, Academic Affairs
  • Phyllis King, associate vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, vice provost for Partnerships and Initiatives
  • Mohammad Habibur Rahman, director, BioRobotics Lab; associate professor, Mechanical Engineering & Biomedical Engineering; chair, Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program Committee

Call for research posters: As part of this year’s event, the NMDSI will be hosting a networking session in conjunction with a research poster session. Submissions are welcomed and encouraged by all members of the NMDSI community. We encourage poster submissions that push the boundaries of data science, AI and its applications in and across a diverse array of domains. Apply to present a poster by Sunday, April 14.
