All UWM faculty and staff are invited to participate in Conflict Transformation Circles, a professional development opportunity offered through the Division of Community Empowerment and Institutional Inclusivity (formerly Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). Each circle will meet three times, for 90-minute sessions on conflict styles, responsive strategies and preparing for conflict.
A circle for instructors will meet Wednesdays, 12:30-2 p.m., on Oct. 2, 16, and 30. This circle will focus on conflicts occurring in the classroom or other instructional contexts.
A second circle will focus on conflicts in team or office contexts, and will meet Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.-noon, on Oct. 3, 17, and 31.
All sessions will be held in Engelmann Hall, Room B73, and facilitated by Sarah MacDonald, training and dispute resolution specialist in the Division of CEII.
