Register for fall virtual book series by Sept. 5

This fall, UWM’s Division of Community Empowerment and Institutional Inclusivity (CEII) invites all faculty and staff to the next installment of our book series: “The Power of Bridging: How to Build a World Where We All Belong.”

Written by civil rights scholar john a. powell, this book promotes a “bridging” mindset and offers a practical guide for building connections across differences.

The fall book discussions include four virtual Wednesday morning sessions, 11 a.m.-noon: Sept. 17, Oct. 1, Oct. 15, and Oct. 29.

The discussions will be co-facilitated by Elizabeth Drame, professor of teaching and learning and special assistant to the Vice Chancellor of CEII, and Sarah MacDonald, CEII training and dispute resolution specialist.

Register with this online form by Sept. 5. A Zoom link will be provided to all who register by the due date.

A limited number of copies of the book are available from the Division of CEII; the book can also be purchased online.
