Panthers at Work week is April 10-16

Celebrate National Student Employment Week with the Center for Student Experience and Talent.

During the week of April 10-16, SET will have events for all students to partake in. Supervisors who sign up as a team with at least one student employee can accrue points for completing challenges and take home the Panthers at Work Cup.

All students are welcome to celebrate student employment by participating in our week of events. Panthers at Work week has events for all students to:

  • Develop professionally, including a panel with employers, resume reviews and access to career closet, plus a job fair for summer opportunities on and off campus.
  • Network: Chances to meet alumni and informally connect with students across campus through volunteering (Make a Difference Day), a dodgeball tournament and Spirit Day (all offering food).
  • Team-build: Signing up as a team with their supervisor will allow them to complete challenges and earn points as a team. Office decorating, dodgeball and volunteering can earn them points toward winning the Panthers at Work Cup.

Supervisors can join too (or not) and cultivate team spirit and sense of belonging. It’s also a great chance for students across campus to see a supervisor in action with their students — this is the way to attract new employees organically. Make everybody wonder: Who is that team that is having so much fun?
