Panel discussion Feb. 1 focuses on leadership pathways

All UWM employees are invited to attend a panel discussion with campus leaders — “Moving Forward: Reflecting on Leadership Pathways” — on Thursday, Feb. 1, from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, Room 107.

Panelists include Ilya Avdeev, director of the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center; Mai Yer Yang, director of advocacy and student engagement in the Division of Student Affairs; and Marc Young, executive director, Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Panelists will share challenges and opportunities on their leadership journeys.

The UWM Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion launched the Mosaic Leadership Academy in collaboration with the Department of Human Resources in 2022 to provide support to diverse UWM employees interested in exploring leadership opportunities on campus. As part of this program, we offer campus-wide opportunities to learn from current UWM leaders about their experiences.

This panel is open to campus and is being held as a fully accessible, hybrid event. Pre-registration is required for either in-person or virtual attendance. Register for the panel discussion at this link.
