Microsoft recently published an article detailing UWM’s journey toward implementing Teams Calling. Titled “University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee supports staff, faculty, and students with Microsoft Teams Calling,” the story sheds light on the efforts to bring Teams Calling to UWM as well as the investment the university has made to create an effective remote work environment.

Implementing Teams Calling has been a continuing project at UWM spanning several years. Moving to a cloud-based system that offered the latest in technology, while providing cost savings to the university, has been a long and ongoing journey for University IT Services, Campus Technology Support and IT staff.

Due to the extenuating circumstances brought on by the pandemic, the initial implementation was required to take place faster than ever and IT professionals across UWM have worked to ensure its success.
