After careful deliberation and review, the decision has been made to close a well-loved and hidden gem in the UWM Restaurant Operations collection. The Kenwood Inn, a lunch-only delicatessen on the third floor of the UWM Student Union, will not be re-opening for the 2016-2017 academic year.

The closure was a necessary decision as Retail Services administration continues its focus on returning the best food value to our campus while maximizing the value of its professional and student staff.

While no one is celebrating the loss of this unit, the cost savings and additional space flexibility will bring benefits to campus and the UWM students who most utilize the services of the Union building. Additional prospects may also develop over time, as the kitchen space may provide opportunities for food-based education and outreach programming.
