Visit the Emile H. Mathis Art Gallery in Mitchell Hall for the exhibition “Hostile Terrains” now through Feb. 10, 2022.

“Hostile Terrains” visually explores the intersection of landscape, policy and violence in Milwaukee and at the U.S.-Mexico border. This participatory and interdisciplinary exhibition includes installations from faculty, staff and students across several departments. They examine the experiences of African Americans, Native people, women, the pandemic and immigrants from Mexico and elsewhere as relating to policy, place and justice.

Admission is free, and the exhibit is open Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-4 p.m..
