Applications are open for three Center of Excellence programs through the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute.
NMDSI is a groundbreaking partnership launched in 2018 between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Northwestern Mutual and Marquette University.
The three programs include:
- Paving ROADS, which supports faculty research
- Pioneer Collaborative Curricula, which funds new course development
- Student Scholars, which supports students and faculty in research programs
All Center of Excellence programs focus on building research capacity in five key areas – artificial intelligence (AI), AI & data bias/ethics, behavioral economics, financial literacy, and health and wealth inequities – while promoting inter- and cross-disciplinary projects that leverage innovative topics, methods and technologies.
