Forum to focus on supporting youth survivors of sex trafficking

The Social Justice Committee at the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare invites you to attend an educational forum on human trafficking on Feb. 5.

Tricia Lewis, director of anti-violence services at Pathfinders in Milwaukee, will lead a discussion on the topic of supporting youth survivors of sex trafficking. Lewis leads Pathfinders’ specialized advocacy and therapy programs for youth survivors of sexual violence and exploitation. Lewis developed a coordinated community response across agencies and systems called Collaborative Rapid Advocacy for Youth to provide advocacy for commercially sexually exploited youth.

The discussion will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. in Sabin Hall, Room G90. Students, alumni, faculty, staff and the general public are all invited to attend. For further information, email hbssw-socialjustice@uwm.edu.
