Flooding resources and support services for UWM employees

Many UWM employees, neighbors and friends have been impacted by the recent flooding in the greater Milwaukee area. As a UWM employee, you and your family members have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services through Acentra Health. Call 833-539-7285 at any time for support and counseling. Acentra Health also has Wisconsin flooding resources listed on its homepage. Log in to Acentra Health and use SOWI as the company code if this is your first time logging in.

Additional Flood Resources 

  • Tree on power lines: Call 800-242-9137 
  • Milwaukee residents with surface flooding (i.e. outside of your home, neighborhood, etc.): Call 414-286-CITY (414-286-2489). 
  • Active shelters: The Red Cross has shelters providing comfort, food, power and more at Holler Park, 5151 S. 6th St, and at 4420 W Vliet St.  
  • U-Haul is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage at 11 company locations across the Milwaukee area to assist residents from weekend flooding. The offer applies to new rentals, based on availability, and U-Box containers must remain on site. Find help by contacting the nearest participating location.
