Join the UWM Police Department as it kicks off the Campus Safety Week, Sept. 14-18. Get a chance to learn about safety at UWM, debunk the myths and learn how to de-escalate situations. And check out all the UWMPD safety events in September.
Safety Week Events
Monday, Sept. 14:
- Spill the Tea with UWMPD: 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sandburg Hall Lobby. Join for trivia, learn about university policing and debunk common misconceptions.
Tuesday, Sept. 15:
- Coffee with a Cop: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the UWM Golda Meir Library (near the Grind)
- Cornhole Games: 7-9 p.m. in RiverView Hall. Join us for a game of bags/cornhole.
Wednesday, Sept. 16:
- Campus Safety Day: 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Library (overhang). Meet with UWM officers and our campus partners to learn more about resources that are available for the campus community.
Thursday, Sept. 17:
- Suicide Prevention Day Event: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Spaights Plaza.
- Cornhole Games: 7-9 p.m. in Cambridge Commons. Join us for another round of bags/cornhole.
Friday, Sept. 18:
- Chill out with UWMPD: 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sandburg Hall Lobby. Enjoy free ice cream and learn about de-escalation techniques for various situations.
