MILWAUKEE _ The annual Black Male Youth-Milwaukee Summit, set for Dec. 15-16 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will bring 800 to 1,000 African-American middle and high school students and their teachers and mentors to the university.
The Tuesday, Dec. 15 sessions are geared to the middle school groups; Wednesday, Dec. 16 sessions are geared to high school students.
Schools and organizations from all over southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois will bring in young men from their communities for a day of workshops and presentations on topics ranging from higher education to career opportunities to money management. The theme this year is Knowledge + Power + Perseverance = Success.
