The Department of Art History began the Spring 2025 semester with a monthlong collaboration with Escuela Verde, an MPS charter school in the Silver City neighborhood.
Kaily Carson, the Emile H. Mathis Art Gallery Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Assistant Professor David Pacifico visited Escuela Verde on three occasions to present bilingual discussions on the history of art in Latin America before hosting the high schoolers at the Mathis Gallery to view “Revolutionary Realism: Art After the Mexican Revolution,” which was curated by Pacifico and Art History MA students during the Fall 2024 semester.
