New program focuses on substance abuse and trauma counseling

The Youth-Oriented Substance Abuse and Trauma Counseling Program is a new offering for master of social work students. Accepted students receive a $10,000 fellowship over two semesters.

YOSAT Counseling II exposes students to specialized training in both substance abuse and trauma counseling with a focus on vulnerable children, youth and young adults. The program also includes state-of-the-art training in cultural competency, technology integration, and integrated care. Students must be admitted or enrolled in the master of social work program.
