Stephanie Denzer, a graduate student in social work in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, has received an an internship with the Mayo Clinic for spring 2017.
This competitive internship is funded by the American Cancer Society. The goal of the internship is to teach social work students psychosocial interviewing skills with parents and families at the pediatric oncology unit at the clinic in Rochester, Minn.
This opportunity gives the student intern a foundation in medical social work along with a $10,000 stipend during the 40-hour a week internship, which begins in January 2017.
