Motivated by her sister’s battle with cancer, Amy Donahue switched careers to focus on biomedical science. Donahue jumped into her second college experience by becoming a peer mentor at the Student Success Center, playing ultimate Frisbee and conducting undergraduate research. After she graduates from UWM, Donahue will enter a highly competitive genetic counseling master’s program at UW-Madison – to the surprise of none of her professors.
