Greatest creation: ‘Photographs of the American City’

“Photographs of the American City” will be on display through Friday, Jan. 16 at the School of Architecture & Urban Planning, room 125. Stephen Sostaric, regional planner for the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission, is curating the exhibition. He is a 2009 graduate of UWM’s master’s in Urban Planning program.

Architect Daniel Libeskind said, “Cities are the greatest creations of humanity.” In that spirit, “Photographs of the American City” includes photographs taken over several years showing places, buildings and structures from coast to coast. Some are famous; some are part of the anonymous urban landscape.
